Whitaker Mill Area Preservation Society
Founded by Whitaker Mill area residents in 2005, the Whitaker Mill Area Preservation Society is dedicated to the protection of the rural nature of the Whitaker Mill Area community.
A serious issue that we are currently facing is the request for a special exception that would allow the construction of a Harford Lutheran School (HLS) at the Millstad site at 701 Whitaker Mill Road. We are not opposed to the construction of an HLS at an appropriate location in the county. We are opposed to the construction of the school at this location for several reasons including traffic safety, impact on the water table, and the impact on the rural nature of our community. The following pages show some of the many aspects of Whitaker Mill Road: Its both rural and historic nature; The conservation aspects of properties along Whitaker Mill Road, the demanding nature of driving along Whitaker Mill Road, and the disturbing contrast with the Baltimore Lutheran School site.
