RASAC Competition Pages

During the period 1977 through 1982 RASAC was a Track and Field powerhouse, as can be seen by its record during those years shown in the Individual and Team Competitive Record page.  Since that time, the club has gravitated to an emphasis on weekly road races and Long Distance and Road Running competition, although several club members still compete in Track & Field at state, regional, and national venues.  To honor the achievements of RASAC's outstanding individuals and teams we have established a Hall of Fame, supported by data in the Competitive Record, the Race Records, and Age-Group Records pages currently under development.

In the club's early years, as covered in the RASAC Roots page, the club participated in multiple sports, including basketball (one-on-one), chess, golf, kayaking, skiing, table tennis, and tennis.  Competitors in each of these categories were ranked according to a uniform power rating formula, which is still in use today on a limited basis, most recently for the RASAC 2005 Summer Table Tennis Tournament.

RASAC has also had swimmers who competed at the national level, and in 1984 entered a team in a Maryland based rugby league.  The rugby team, aka Harford Rugby Club, was a little green in its first year, but fared well enough to win one game and gain a tie in a game against a Navy team at Annapolis.
